At Anglo Support and Housing Ltd, we strongly believe everyone should have the freedom to choose how they want to receive care and support, providing them with the opportunity to live life as fully and independently as possible.
We understand that people have different caring needs; our people-focused care varies from help for a couple of hours a week on everyday tasks to 24 hour care service. Our personalised approach to caring is developed around people’s needs.
Care is provided in partnership with service users, their carers and relatives, respecting their diverse needs, preferences and choices. It is standard practice for a member of our management team to visit each service user before commencing the service to be able to understand the individual situation and then provide the most suitable package accordingly.

Education
Our Staff stress the importance of education in achieving good healthy lives as adults. We work closely with our education advisor to collate relevant information and identify the correct educational placement if the young person is not in full time education and to agree a transition back if they are and haven’t been attending. Our team are committed to the value of education and the activities that surround it, for example, establishing a routine, the need to be organised and punctual and the understanding of behaviour requirements. This include the provision of Personal Education Plans and information from previous placements.
Support with Employment
We use Career planning tools to inform Pathway Plans.
Employability skills sessions – these make young people understand what is expected of them at work. Work experience and shadowing – Once the young person is confident enough to trial the world of work, our team identify ways they can find out about the roles they are interested in. The team will build strong relationships with local businesses and Government departments, such as Job Centre +
Health and Wellbeing
The improved health and wellbeing of our young people is very important to us and staff play an active role in promoting this. All young people will be registered with a local surgery and supported to attend the optician and dentist regularly.
Eating Healthily and Safely
Our staff support young people with planning to cook more healthy meals using recipe books and according to their support plan. We involve young people in the menu planning process, basing meals around general healthy eating and ensuring that they have regular meals. Staff ensure that young people eat adequately and are hydrated at all times.
Activities
We involve young people in deciding on activities they want to participate in the community. Recreational facilities are also made available to all young people in our service as is appropriate to their individual needs. Staff encourage the young people to experience and try a variety of hobbies. This may be through joining in youth clubs or sport centers.
Maintaining Relationships
We encourage parents of young people, other family members, legal guardians and significant others to participate in all aspects of the general welfare of the young person, where appropriate. We actively facilitate these contacts, in line with agreed Placement care Plans and Pathway Plans. Parents and significant others, in line with agreed Care and Placement Plans, are encouraged to visit the young people, if appropriate.
